I'm guessing you mean the Blade? Victo has 3 greens. Anyway, I saw someone trying to sell the Blade in LA for 50k. I quickly bought it up with proceeds from my 3 Axe sales. I then went to Tombs to sell it for up to 100k. Sadly I found offers for 35k, 50k and 55k. I talked the 55 into 60 and got out of that dog real quick.
I heard that the blade isn't that good, but its the skin and newness that warrants the sell power. Anyone want to confirm this to a non-warrior?

It's not bad. Except for the skin, my flamberge has the exact same stats. 15^50, 3:1 vamp, Fort +30. The only reason someone would say it's 'bad' is if they had a problem with the economy and started applying the faults in the economy directly to the weapon (and somehow applying their dislike for the economy to the usefulness of weapons). Either that or if they prefer Sundering and think Vampiric is OMGZ TEH NOOBZ MODZ0RZ. Eh. The skin is cool, but it's nothing special.

Savio, you argue well. I will agree with you on all points except one:

If newer players could acquire these proposed items using your mentioned tactics in point 2, then I really wouldn't consider them much of a noob.
Except for maybe the luck one. I hate lucky people...

What would be nice is if instead of greens, golds always dropped, and quality golds at that.
That way people would get the chance for decent rewards at the end, but with that element of randomness that makes it more exciting. It wouldn't have that resigned gloom and boredom that's sort of set in with these greens, where you just know the price will begin to drift because the same items aways drop.
At least with golds people will have the opportunity to mod their items the way they want to.

that wouldn't solve anything. the same people who are whining now will still be whining then. they'll complain about wasting 2-3 hours and not getting a "good gold" or about how the new influx of golds is "ruining" the economy.
and to all those people crying over "how anet is ruining the economy," you don't know a damn thing about how economy works. please, at least learn about the basic concepts of supply and demand before whining. i don't understand why people would leave a game when new items are introduced. i, for one, am extremely happy with these new items. max sickle skin, max shadow blade, a sexy perfect domination staff for my new mesmer, and an earth staff for my elem? i couldn't ask for more. now, i don't have to shell out thousands to equip my characters.
it seems like a majority of the complaints regarding economy are from those who are mad that they can't sell the item for hundreds of plat anymore. once again, please learn about supply and demand. the drop in prices is called economy stabilization. and for those who don't know, stabilization = good.

Agreed. How greedy can some people get?
I just want to have fun, I could care less if I have all perfect mods on my max weapons or not...

after seeing all the greens that drop in new UW, all but 3 are worse then the greens you find in SF, bulwark/sword/and the energy storage offhand (its great for the eles in 8v8 who use the monk secondary and ether prodigy)
the greens in new UW are even worse then collector items IE: all the staffs that drop new UW are 10recharge 10 cast- 10/10 collector and SF greens 20/20
BUT MAN I LOVE THE CHALLANGE TO GET TO THE END
once again thank you anet for the new UW

awww. but that means i can't get 100k out of the players who think that a 10/10 sundering mod is t3h l33t.
but either way, it's good that the drop rates are so high. then everyone who can try to get to the Darknesses can have a chance at getting a new staff/offhand/weapon for their character. pretty wise of ANet.....high drop rates would equal into high amounts of gold in some people's hands, but eventually stabilization would occur.
i'm happy with my Elswyth's Long Bow/Recurve. and i'm happy with Victo's Sword, which dropped twice and equaled into around 190k in profits
thanks for the challenge, ANet. fingers of chaos....XD

Farming
Well I like farming....so do a lot of others...it just so happens the teams i usually go with on a large scale usually suck....so what do you all propose...lets not forget about the crapy A.I. of the henchies....what should anet do about that...put the game back to the way it was when it first came out and leave the crap alone...and everyone quit complaining....gold and weapon drops rule...
Have a nice Day
F**K nerfing any game....

because everyone wants to post in a 4 month old thread.
if you have a question about value, you might have more luck in the TRADE forum.
as for the wayward wand try this link http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Wayward_Wand
you get it at the end of the game after beating shiro.
